MenuFlex boosts XenForo’s navigation with three practical features: Open Menus On Hover, Tiered Menus, and Font Awesome Menu Icons.

It’s a quick, intuitive way to navigate, automatically falling back to clicks for non 'hover' capable devices (e.g. most mobile devices) or when disabled, ensuring everyone is always covered. This enhancement makes menus feel more responsive and user-friendly, streamlining the desktop experience with minimal setup. There have been a few Open On Hover "hacks" around for years, but they've always broke elements of the navigation system. This solution breaks nothing and integrates seamlessly with the existing XenForo navigation system.
• Tiered Menus takes XenForo’s default flat menu view to a new level. Add nested menu tiers with a single ACP click to turn them on. Instead of a single-layer flat list, your navigation gains depth. Think main menus revealing submenus in a clean, organized drop-down structure that tames expansive menus into something more visually appealing. MenuFlex ensures these tiers adapt smoothly across all device sizes, built with responsiveness in mind to maintain accessible navigation whether on desktop, tablet, or phone. • Font Awesome Menu Icons enhance your menus with eye-catching icons. This feature is seamlessly integrated with XenForo’s native Font Awesome icon sets (XF 2.3+). This add-on comes with 'Standard Icon Assignments' preselected for all XenForo, XenForo Media Gallery (if installed), and XenForo Resource Manager (if installed) menu options. Flip it on with just a couple checkbox options and/or dive deeper into the add-on options for more Font Awesome customization capabilities. Assign custom icon styling (Light, Regular, Solid, or Duotone) to all your icons with a single click. Want more customization control? Our custom singles, pairs, trios, and quads will allow you to customize your site’s Font Awesome icons individually with style and color. How To Add Custom Font Awesome Icons:
1) Find the menu options 'Navigation ID'. This can be found under: ACP: Setup > Public Navigation; select the navigation option you want to add an icon to the 'Navigation ID' will be the first input shown.



2) Take that 'Navigation ID' (navid) and apply it in the MenuFlex 'Font Awesome Custom Menu Icons' option as a single, pair, trio, or quad.

Font Awesome Custom Menu Icon Assignment Parts:
navid = XenForo Navigation ID
iconname = Font Awesome Icon Name
style = light, regular, solid, duotone, or brands
color = any valid color in the following formats: Named color, Hexadecimal, RGB(a), HSL(a), or XenForo Color ID

Font Awesome Custom Icon Types:
Singles: Use navid: (e.g., forum: ) to remove a standard icon assignment if you are using 'Standard Icon Assignments'.
Pairs: Use navid:iconname pairs (e.g., forums:comments) to add new icon assignments or override 'Standard Icon Assignments'.
Trios: Use navid:iconname:style trios (e.g., forums:comments:solid) to set a specific per-icon style.
Quads: Use navid:iconname:style:color quads (e.g., forums:comments:solid:red) to set a specific per-icon color.
